We began with a brief q&a, then started the meditation session. First grounding, then close placement for settling the mind. That was followed by awareness of sense perceptions and environment. Then we worked with awareness of mental perceptions, looking at thoughts as they arise, leading into a brief introductory version of the investigations into the nature of mind. We concluded with a special tonglen (gathering and radiating) practice, focused on gathering from all beings any hatred, anger, prejudice toward others, and radiating to fill them instead with love, patience, and acceptance.
