Meditation Group – Session [ #45 ]

Transcript → Meditation Group [#45]

Andrew leads a guided meditation emphasizing the importance of a “non-stick” relationship to the contents of mind. This leads to the central theme for the evening, “Resting in the present moment is annihilation.” By engaging in meditation, we are deconstructing the narrative structure of the self, and by immediate implication, the sense of “other.” In stronger terms, meditation is death in slow motion. At fruitional levels, even the present moment – time itself – is deconstructed, and one enters Buddha Standard Time, or the timeless time zone of the fourth moment – beyond past, present, and future. Understanding this is all in the service of Right View, which fuels our inspiration for practice.
