In this session Andrew reviews the two ways to look at meditation. The relative and more conventional way is that the qualities of meditation are developed; the absolute and more unconventional way is that they are dis-covered. These noble qualities are inherent to the mind, meditation just reveals them. Using a famous quotation from Trungpa Rinpoche (on Maha Ati, or Dzogchen), Andrew talks about relaxation as the key to the path. On an absolute level, even the notion of path is counter-productive. A path to where? Nowhere. Or now-here. The Q and A discussed healthy ways to relate to fear and pain.
