The Creative Power of the Mind

This topic of psychedelic experience has just awakened a major realization for me. I am less than a year in to my lucid dreaming/dream yoga journey and I find myself wondering why it is that I have had such early success. I am now remembering a period centering on 1970 when, as a college student, I spent many a weekend night under the influence of psychedelics.

These were very spiritual experiences…not recreational, and the drugs were very pure…clinical LSD, organic mescaline and even raw peyote buttons. Those nights were spent in meditation and wonder and I am certain now that, even all those years ago, they helped prepare me for the wonderful “trip” that I have now embarked on.

I have looked back on those days at various times in my life and realized that those experiences very definitely jump started my creativity in a number of disciplines.

I must say, though, that I would not recommend this as an induction enhancement protocol these days as the quality of the drugs will likely be somewhat tainted.

I would also comment that my early successes in more fully inhabiting my dream state are now very definitely having an effect on my present creative endeavors.
